Our Lady of the Lilies Acadaemy was founded in June 1959 under the guidance and help of our Archbishop Mariano Madriaga ,D.D. of Lingayen -Dagupan. It was named after one of the Different titles of our Blessed Mother Mary which is the Lady of the Lilies. It means purity.

The founder of Our Lady of the Lilies Academy was Sister Pilar Esquivel , O.P. , Sister Guadalupe ,O.P. , and sister Ursula Rempis ,O.P.

The first building of the school was the old parish convent , which had been erected during the 18th century by the Spanish Friars.

With the first enrollment of 145 high school students from 1959 to 1966 , the elementary and high school department were fully recognized and established.

As the years passed, OLLA has built a three story building for the High School Department which was then named St Thomas , classrooms at the second & third floor and Offices at the ground floor. Another new one was built and was named St. Catherine Building. This houses the convent of the sisters at the second floor. At the ground floor .Two convertible classrooms for fourth year high school was settled at the ground level. These classrooms were converted into air-conditioned computer rooms . One for high school students and the other for the grade school pupils with 15 units of computer each.

On July 16 , 1990 , the grade school building which is an 18th century building was damaged by the earthquake. Thus , the grade schoolers held their classes at the covered walk and under the tent.

The need for a new building to house the graders was necessary . So on September 1990 , the construction of the new grade school started. Once finished , the building was named St. Dominic building which houses the Grade School Department and the St. Martin Clinic.

At present , OLLA has four buildings : St Catherine Building , St Thomas Building , Mo. Francisca Building and the St. Dominic Building.

Viewing itself as acatholic School in a growing community , Our Lady of the Lilies Academy, produces graduates who are models of good man. The school was able to produce priests and nuns , an example of the school,s aim to religious life. We also have produced professionals like Doctors , Nurses , Lawyers , Soldiers, Engineers , Architects and Teachers. A number of them became outstanding leaders of the community.

After 45 years under the congregation of the Dominican Sisters of St. Catherine of Siena , Our Lady of The Lilies Academy is now under the administration of the Diocese of Urdaneta. This historic transition gives high hopes among the alumni , parents and students of OLLA that the new administration can equal the quality of education served by the Dominican Sisters of Siena or better yet surpass them.
